Constance M. White

British author, perhaps best known as a  writer of school stories, although wrote three pony themed novels. Born in Croydon in 1903. Had an early love of writing, forming a school magazine with her friend and writing school stories in the mould of then popular author Angela Brazil. She then pursued studies and a career in the art world. After marrying, she returned to her first love of writing, in time becoming a published author, with a string of fairly popular school novels.

She was persuaded by a neighbour's daughter to turn her hand at pony books, and after some research produced some school stories with a strong pony element, and a non-school pony book:
Dream Pony.
